BANGALORE: Idea Cellular bagged the top cellular services company Voice and Data award for 2001-02. The awards were given on the basis of revenues earned during the fiscal 2001-02.

LG Electronics was adjudged the fastest growing telecom company, the top network equipment company was Cisco Systems, which outdistanced its next rival Enterasys by a massive Rs 615 crore. The State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd was adjudged the top fixed services company for the second year in a row.

Spectramind, which hogged the media limelight for its Rs 450-crore buyout by Wipro, got the top call centre company award. Wipro Infotech was presented the top network integrator award.

Other winners were Sterlite Optical - top telecom cable company; Agilent Technologies - top T&M equipment company; National Panasonic - top KTS company; Tata Telecom - top private switching systems company, Gilat Satellite Networks - top VSAT company, and ITI - top carrier equipment company.
