NEW DELHI, May 17

THE National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has said it is hosting a two-day `Indian IT and ITES Strategy Summit 2002' in Hyderabad from June 10.

The summit will not only provide a platform to address key issues and challenges facing the software and services industry, but also strategise future growth through broad basing the industry's portfolio of services, Nasscom said in a statement here.

The Nasscom-McKinsey Report 2002 will also be released at the event, to be inaugurated by the Union IT and Telecom Minister, Mr Pramod Mahajan, and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu.

``The events over the last one year have posed a considerable challenge for the Indian IT industry. The summit would focus on identifying opportunity areas across verticals, geographies and new technology areas and recommending a roadmap for Indian IT and ITES companies to realise its long term vision,'' said Mr Kiran Karnik, President of Nasscom, said.
