BANGALORE, May 17

JOURNEYMART.COM, a vertical travel portal, is positioning itself as a mall on the Internet.

According to its Chairman and CEO, Mr Gautam Chadha, the site focuses on providing the traveller with a host of travel choices.

"We are inviting people in the industry to offer their products and services through us. The traveller has the choice and convenience to communicate, query, book and buy online with service providers on Journeymart.com,'' said Mr Chadha, here today in a presentation made to the industry.

According to him, the portal provides not merely directory service, the platform can be customised by each travel business to suit its own corporate identity and reach out to world markets.

In November 2001, Journeymart.com entered into a marketing alliance with Yahoo India thereby gaining access to 17 million users registered with the latter.
