KOLKATA, MAY 10

ENCOURAGED by the success of the `Pure for Sure' (PSF) movement (under which customers are guaranteed right quality supply of fuel in the right quantity), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) proposes to expand it to cover retail outlets located in districts and highways.

Right now, there are 1,050 retail outlets under PSF chain all over the country and the figure is to rise to 1,500 by October, according to BPCL sources. As a result, the company is confident of substantially stepping up its present market share of 30 per cent.

In eastern India, PSF was launched in Kolkata in August last year. A total of 135 retail outlets have been covered under it so far and some of them are located in places such as Sambalpur, Cuttack,Bhubaneswar,Ranchi, Tatanagar and Siliguri in addition to Kolkata. More outlets are proposed to be covered under PSF soon.

Meanwhile, BPCL launched on Friday PSF scheme in 11 retail outlets in the industrial belt of Burdwan district of the State, covering places such as Asansol and Durgapur.
