Outlook Usha Intl targets 30% export growth Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, May 10 USHA International Ltd, a Siddharth Shriram group company, is targeting a turnover of Rs 500 crore in the current fiscal, as against Rs 410 crore last year. The Managing Director, Mr Sunil Wadhwa, told presspersons here on Friday that the company was also targeting a 30-per cent growth in exports this year. It had posted an export turnover of Rs 84 crore last fiscal. The company recently launched 30 new models of fans and 6-7 new appliances in the market. Mr Wadhwa said that apart from enhancing its distribution network of 25,000 selling points, the company would be opening five more "Usha World" showrooms in the country this year. Kochi and Chennai would soon have these new look showrooms, the first of which was opened in Gurgaon, near Delhi, last year. As a first step towards becoming more competitive globally, the company was stated to have implemented ERP packages n 30 locations across the country. The company had also tied up with G.D. Medea of China for sourcing plastic raw material for fans as the cost of plastic raw material was very high in the country.
