Jindal Thermal PAT moves up

MUMBAI, May 7

JINDAL Thermal Power Company (JTPC) has reported a profit after tax of Rs 56.56 crore for the year 2001-2002 as compared to Rs 45.88 crore in the previous year.

Sales turnover was Rs 542 crore against Rs 397 crore. JTPC, formerly known as Jindal Tractebel Power Company Ltd, has set up 2 x 130 MW thermal power plant at Toranagallu village in Bellary.

The company has achieved a plant load factor of 96 per cent and generated 2,184 million units of power during 2001-2002.
