Outsourcing neoIT upbeat on outsourced projects Our Bureau
BANGALORE: neoIT, a provider of services value chain automation (SVCA) technology and services, is expecting a near three-fold rise in the value of outsourced projects it hopes to broker during 2002. Mr Avinash Vashistha, Managing Director, neoIT, said the company, during 2001, was responsible for $90 million worth projects that were awarded to its registered suppliers and helped global buyers achieve a savings of $28 million. ``For the current year, we expect to increase the amount of awarded projects to $250 million, of which nearly 50 per cent are expected to go to India-based providers,'' he said. The company has a technology provider base of nearly 6,000 companies while it has a registered buyer base of 600. NeoIT, in association with global sourcing advisory partner TPI, was planning to capitalise on the increased interest in the BPO (business process outsourcing) segment, he said. Mr Warren Gallant, Vice Chairman of TPI said, ``In 2002, we have seen that large organisations are even more focussed on developing and implementing a comprehensive outsourcing strategy that encompasses all activities.''
