Software Corporate Results - Software Eonour Tech Q3 sales up 38 pc Our Bureau
KOCHI, March 6 THE Chennai-based Eonour Technologies Ltd, an IT solution provider, has recorded a sales increase of 38.39 per cent for the quarter ended December 2001. Sales for the third quarter of the current fiscal were Rs 1,693.30 lakh as compared to the same quarter last year sales of Rs 1,223.58 lakh. Net profit stood at Rs 443.23 lakh (Rs 386.23 lakh), registering an increase of 14.76 per cent, a press release issued here said. Eonour, which provides solutions in the enterprise application integration (EAI) and supply chain management (SCM) arena, had recently reached a tie-up with eBizExec Australia for marketing in Australia and New Zealand, it said. The company had entered into a joint venture with ATIIT Pvt Ltd, an educational institution providing high-end IT training, to impart training in core technologies. The company also has a tie-up with Pune University and the Birla Institute of Scientific Research at Jaipur to drive into bio-informatics business. The alliance with the two premier institutions would help in the delivery of frontline solutions, the release added. The company had realised that with recession in economy, the only way to retain and maintain customers was to offer value-added products that offered a better return on investment. This realisation had translated into Eonour gaining expertise in SCM products. The company's suite of products addresses each aspect in the chain: the supplier, logistics, manufacturer, distributor and customer. The company's order book position was very strong, with orders worth over Rs 69 crore for the next 12 months. To meet the orders, the company was enhancing its capacity by setting up an additional development centre in Pondichery. As part of diversification plans, the company had also made its foray into electronic circuit designing. It was even contemplating getting into manufacture of high-end technology products which would make it a complete technology company, the release said.
