Telecommunications Corporate - Alliances & Joint Ventures Bharti Telesonic, Escotel group sign pact Our Bureau
KOCHI, March 6 BHARTI Telesonic, the private long distance operator and fully-owned subsidiary of Bharti TeleVentures, has entered into a five-year agreement with Escotel and ETL of the Escorts group to contract leased line connectivity for its cellular operations. Under this agreement, Bharti Telesonic's Hi-bandwidth Answers would be providing the network connectivity between Escotel's base transmission station (BTS) and the central switching point, Mobile Switching Centre, in Kerala, Punjab and Haryana, a press release issued here said. On its part, Bharti Telesonic will be laying fibre optical cables to Escotel's BTS locations in both States to ensure uninterrupted, fault-free and high quality connectivity for Escotel's cellular traffic. The quality of connectivity assigned to Escotel and its consumers is being monitored and ensured round the clock from Bharti Telesonic's central network operations centre in Delhi. Bharti Telsonic's Hi-bandwidth Answers was also in advanced stages of negotiations with other leading service providers for similar alliances, the release added.
