CTCs in demand at Guwahati sale

Our Bureau

GUWAHATI: CTC offerings this week at Guwahati met with good general demand. Clean grainy sorts were dearer following competition. The remainder were around last with an easier tendency during the later half of sale.

Larger brokens met with improved enquiry from exporters. Cachars also followed a similar trend. There was fair enquiry from the major blender with selective support forthcoming from Tata Tea for medium sized brokens.

North India and other internal segments lent good support for both Assam and cachar brokens.

Eveready and Godfrey Phillips were quiet. Western India markets lent selective support for the few liquoring sorts on offer. There was only fair enquiry for Dust categories. All descriptions were irregularly lower following quality.
