KOLKATA, Feb. 26

THE income-tax portal "incometaxinfo.com'', alongwith Union Budget coverage, has also planned to help individual taxpayers submit their return for a modest fee of Rs 200 through online and offline facilities of the portal.

According to the director of incometaxinfo.com, Mr Narayan Jain, the site now provides all income-tax forms which can be printed, and "the returns can be filed online as and when the Government allows the facility''.

He said the aim was to develop the tax portal into a full-fledged vehicle to increase the number of taxpayers in the country, in the national interest.

Commenting on budget coverage planned, Mr Jain said the expert panel comprising noted consultants like Mr N.R. Sivaswamy (former chairman of CBDT), Mr S.R. Wadhwa, Mr Pesi M. Narielwala, Mr N.M. Ranka and Mr K. Shivaram will not only demystify the Union Budget but also respond to queries of corporates and individuals, on a real time basis, on the Finance Minister's tax proposals.
