Secured grains: Harvested paddy stored in a Tiwa house in Tharakungi village in Karbi Anglong district ofAssam. As the Tiwas do not build granaries, they preserve the grains in bundles of straw called `Maiphur'which is secured by bamboo strips. Tiwa is one of the major tribes of Assam that live in the Morigaon andKarbi Anlgong districts of the State. - Ritu Raj Konwar
