MeritTrac offers exam solution

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Nov. 19 Assessment company MeritTrac has launched Pariksha, a technology solution for large scale examinations across the country.

Pariksha is built on a technology platform that covers the entire spectrum of examination delivery process. This will be supported by a network of 50,000 testing terminals in 185 cities across the country.

“Security, accuracy, fairness and access are key parameters for any exam process and our suite of offerings is leveraging technology, increased reach and quality processes to deliver large-scale exams that are 100 per cent secure and accurate,” said Mr Madan Padaki, Co-founder and CEO..

MeritTrac had partnered with Gujarat Technological University, Government of Gujarat, to conduct the Gujarat Common Entrance Test online in July. About 23,000 candidates appeared for this online test over four days, conducted in 37 centres across 11 cities in Gujarat, deploying 2,100 terminals.

The Indian higher education system conducts over 150 million entrance and semester exams every year. The Government also conducts over 70 million competitive exams annually. Over 25 per cent of all these exams are likely to go online in the next three years, says Mr Padaki.

MeritTrac has chalked out a plan to target at least 10 million of these exams in the next three years, he added.
