Gas leak at Samsung’s Noida unit

New Delhi, Nov 17

At least 55 people were admitted to hospital after a suspected gas leak at Samsung’s mobile and washing machine manufacturing unit in the NCR area of Noida. Though a majority of the workers have been discharged after an initial examination, hospital sources said, the condition of five factory workers was serious. When contacted Samsung spokesperson said, “We are looking into the matter. According to our information there has been a gas leak following which peop le complained of breathlessness following which they were rushed to nearby Kailash Hospital. All the workers have been evacuated and are under observation.”
