UltraTech board meet

Mumbai, Nov. 13

UltraTech Cement has convened a board meeting on Sunday to consider the recommendations of the Committee of Directors on the merger process of Samruddhi Cement with itself. Grasim Industries last month spun off its cement business into Samruddhi Cement. On October 6, UltraTech had formed a committee to advise on the merger proposal submitted by Samruddhi Cement. UltraTech shares on BSE closed almost flat at Rs 729 on Friday. —
