Derivatives Markets Columns - On the hedge Our Bureau Chennai, Nov. 12 Turnover remains moderate at Rs 82,089 crore in the F&O segment on Thursday. The Nifty Nov futures closed at 4969.05 against the spot close o f 4952.65. It shed 1.92 lakh shares in open interest. Among the options, Nifty 4900 put shed 2.09 lakh shares in open interest while 5000 call added 7.38 lakh shares suggesting that market might move in that range. Stock futuresUnitech futures, which tumbled 5.33 per cent, added 31.14 lakh shares in open interest. It closed at 84.4 against the spot close of 84.1. Suzlon futures, which gained 2.13 per cent, added 20.91 lakh shares in open interest and closed at 69.45 against the spot close of 69.15. However, the accumulations for both the counters appear to be on the short side. HDIL futures shed 7.66 lakh share and closed at 365 with respect to the spot close of 365.9. Tata Steel and DLF, however, witnessed accumulation of 8.1 lakh shares and 4.76 lakh shares respectively. FIIs were net sellers to the tune of Rs 1,168 crore on Thursday.
