Bambino, Domino’s in pasta deal

Hyderabad, Nov. 9

Bambino, one of the largest producer of vermicelli, has announced it has tied up with Domino’s Pizza for pasta distribution through the latter’s international chain of restaurants. The Executive Director of Bambino Agro Industries Ltd, Mr P. Eswara Das, in a statement said, “we will supply wheat pasta to Domino’s outlets for which an agreement has been signed. So far, we have supplied 40 tonnes of pasta made of particular variety of wheat to Domino& #8217;s outlets in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Noida.” Mr Das said that the company is looking at diversifying into functional foods. The market for functional foods in the country now at a nascent stage is expected to grow to about Rs 200 crore within two-three years. The company is considering launching nutrition supplements.
