Health States - Andhra Pradesh AP CM asks for vigil on dengue situation Our Bureau Hyderabad, Nov. 2 The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, on Monday asked the Health Department officials to hasten measures to contain spread of dengue fever in the State. The Chief Minister reviewed the situation at a meeting with the Principal Secretary (Health), Mr L.V. Subramaniam, and other officials, especially availability of the required medi-care in 11 identified hospitals. The 11 hospitals are MGM Hospital, Warangal; RIMS, Adilabad; Gandhi Hospital; Osmania Hospital; Fever Hospital and Niloufer Hospitals, Hyderabad; and the five district hospitals at Karimnagar, Janagaon, Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahaboobnagar. He wanted constant monitoring of the situation in the State, particularly in Hyderabad and the neighbouring districts. The officials informed the Chief Minister that clear instructions have been issued to blood banks to supply the required platelets in minimum time. The Chief Minister appealed to the youth and social workers to donate blood. The blood banks would supply the required platelets and other components free to patients admitted in Government hospitals.
