Kochi, Oct. 30 Malayalam channel Surya TV, part of the Tamil Nadu-based Sun TV network, will telecast a gameshow – Deal or No Deal – from November 7, with a prize money of Rs 50lakh.

The show is based on international television game show Deal or No Deal, which has been telecast in over 73 countries and has given away over Rs 500 crore prize money, Mr Ajay Vidyasagar, Chief Operating Officer, Sun TV Network, said. The Sun Network has plans to launch the game show in four languages, including Tamil, he said.

The show will be hosted by actor Mr Mukesh. It will be telecast in over 26 episodes between 7.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Mr Ravinath Menon, Head Programmes, Sun Network, said the contestants for the show were selected from the responses to the ‘call for entry activity’ that ran on the channel few weeks ago.
