Our Bureau

Chennai, Oct. 28 The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will organise a ‘Media and Entertainment Business Conclave’ on November 18 and 19 at Chennai.

The aim of the conclave is to facilitate business further in regions within India and with an objective of bringing the rich potential of the Indian entertainment market in the forefront of the global media & entertainment industry.

Actor and film producer Kamal Hassan will be the Chairman of the conclave, says a press release from FICCI.

The conclave’s aim is to concentrate largely on the vibrant and sizeable Indian Media and Entertainment Industry across various states and bring thought leaders from all over India and overseas to address this unique platform. The sessions will cover the entire gamut of media and entertainment such as films, broadcast (TV & Radio), digital entertainment, animation, gaming and visual effects.

The conclave also aims to provide a forum for the government to receive authentic and first hand information on the state of the Indian entertainment industry and its problems and prospects. It will discuss global and Indian developments with regard to trends and opportunities in the entertainment industry, business possibilities and regulatory regimes in different countries.

Over 500 people are expected to attend the conclave including a strong participation from the State Government and Central Government.
