Two-day agri meet from Nov 6

Coimbatore, Oct. 28 The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is planning to host a three-day national conference of KVKs (Krishi Vigyan Kendras) between November 6 and 8.

The Union Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Mr Sharad Pawar, is to inaugurate the conference, and the Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, is expected to preside over the inaugural function on November 6.

Over 1,000 delegates, including 600 KVK scientists, are expected to attend the event.

The conference conducted mainly to share the experiences of KVK scientists and technology transfer initiatives adopted by KVKs, is an annual event of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
