Nucleus Q2 net more than doubles

New Delhi, Oct. 26 Nucleus Software Exports Ltd on Monday posted a 142-per cent surge in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2009, at Rs 9.88 crore, on the back of continued cost drives and improved productivity.

But its revenue dipped 6.2 per cent to Rs 70.75 crore as the overall slowdown resulted in lower orders.

The company said that its order pipeline now stands at Rs 180 crore executable over the coming year.

“The pipeline is strong and we are expecting a healthy third and fourth quarter. The business sentiment is also better and people are now open to decision making,” Mr Vishnu R Dusad, CEO and Managing Director, Nucleus Software said.

With total expenses at Rs 58.80 crore in comparison to Rs 67.06 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs 11.95 crore (Rs 8.40 crore).
