Bata profit rises 5%

Kolkata, Oct. 24

Bata India on Friday reported a 5.36 per cent growth in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 13.15 crore in the quarter to September 30 against the corresponding quarter last year and a 16.1 per cent rise in turnover at Rs 260.43 crore. Mr Marcelo Villagran, Managing Director and CEO, said that during the quarter, the company opened 21 stores and renovated four existing ones.
