Vasavi launches ‘green home’ project

Chennai, Oct. 23

The Chennai-based Vasavi Housing Infrastructure Ltd has launched a ‘green home’ project at Kelambakkam to the south of Chennai. Addressing a press conference, Mr P.B. Krishna Prasad, Director, Vasavi Housing, said the project ‘Anicham’ will offer 54 apartments built following green building norms to conserve electricity and water through efficient systems and provide well ventilated spaces to its occupants. Priced at Rs 2,700 a sq.ft the project wit h two- and three-bedroom apartments are to be completed by June 2011. According to the consultants for the green building features, Green Evolution, the building will target Gold Rating by the Indian Green Building Council.
