IBS Hyderabad expects good placements this year

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Oct. 20

IBS Hyderabad, a business school of ICFAI, is expecting better placements for the current batch of MBA students who graduate early next year. “Over 10 companies have already started the campus placements programme. Around 90 students have been given offers,” Mr D.S. Rao, Director, IBS Hyderabad, told newspersons here on Tuesday.

The initial reaction from the corporates was ‘good’, he said, adding, “Except IT companies, all others are participating in campus hiring. The IT firms are expected to commence campus hiring from January.” On the salary front, the expectation is that the average annual salary could be above Rs 6 lakh. Last year, it was at Rs 5.5 lakh, he added. “We see that the fear about economic slowdown is fading away. There may not be much impact of it on hiring programmes this year,” Mr Rao said.
