HCL Info bags Rajasthan GIS contract

HCL Infosystems on Friday announced that it has bagged a contract of over Rs 500 crore from Rajasthan, to implement a State-wide solution involving integration of IT Geographical Information System (GIS), Automated Meter Reading (AMR) and the associated technologies.

The five-year project entails consultancy, design, development and implementation, encompassing business process applications, customer relationship management, billing, GIS and AMR. The company has a specialised domain practice for the power sector as part of its system integration business.

The Re-structured Accelerated Power Development and Reform Program (RAPDRP) is the flagship programme of Ministry of Power with focus on an actual, demonstrable performance of distribution companies in term of sustained loss reduction and to establish reliable and automated systems for sustained collection of accurate base line data.
