Kolkata, Oct. 13

Electronic and computer devices manufacturing company Intex Technologies Ltd is eyeing Rs 800 crore turnover in 2009-10 against Rs 466 crore in 2008-09, according to its Zonal Sales Manager, Computer Peripherals, Mr Ranjit Bhattacharya.

Of the targeted turnover for the period, West Bengal was expected to contribute Rs 40 crore, growing at 80 per cent over last year, he told mediapersons at a press conference here on Tuesday.

“More than 70 per cent of the targeted turnover will come from computer peripherals and PC business verticals and the rest from consumer electronics and mobile phone businesses,” he said.

In West Bengal, the company would tap the Tier-II and III markets such as Barasat, Bardhaman, Hooghly, Howrah, Midnapore, Murshidabad, Cooch Behar and Nadia, he said. Its dealer network was expected to increase by 20-30 per cent in 2009-10 over the last fiscal, he added.

The company has a dealer network of 2,000. It has factories in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
