Bay Talkitec launches FM on mobile phones in N. America

Our Bureau

Chennai, Oct. 13 Bay Talkitec, the Chennai-based 3G value-added service provider, has announced FM service on mobile and landline phones in North America under the brand name of Hamara FM.

Part of the Global VAS initiative, Bay Talkitec has partnered with Dhoom FM, an 24x7 Indian Entertainment station in North America, and listeners can enjoy Bollywood and regional Indian entertainment programmes.

This service removes the distance restriction of FM broadcast and makes it possible for anyone to listen to the service just by dialling a service number.

The new technology will help FM stations extend their reach, without having to be restricted to a particular region and will hence “become an attractive proposition to both advertisers and listeners,” according to a company press release.
