Hages Business Solutions eyes big rise in biz

Our Bureau

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 12 Hages Business Solutions (HBS), a Technopark-based company specialising in SAP consulting, has charted out a growth path that would bring about a 10-fold rise in business to Rs 100 crore in the next four years.

The company will seek to grow organically and inorganically during this phase, according to Mr K. G. Gopakumar, Managing Director.

ACQUISITIONS PLAN

It has set apart Rs 10 crore for acquisitions and has at least two companies based in Mumbai and Pune on the radar. An external agency has been commissioned to do the due diligence exercise.

HBS is also exploring the scope of raising funds through debt, equity and private capital, Mr Gopakumar said.

The client mix is being tweaked to generate maximum possible business from overseas ‘where the margins lie.’ The company will partner with others, including competitors, to engage increasingly with foreign players.

Partnerships will soon be finalised with players in West Asian and African countries by this year-end.

HBS is already partnering with Baitech Corporation of South Africa for major SAP projects worth over $50 million. It is exploring various options to increase its footprint in the Middle-East and the US.

On the domestic turf, public sector units are emerging as potential clients. The company has signed a one-year memorandum of understanding with the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (Keltron) that would open up State PSUs for potential business.

HBS is setting up full-fledged offices in Chennai and Delhi and overseas offices in South Africa and the UK.

As part of business de-risking exercise, it has separated core IT business from non-IT business, and proposes to deal increasingly in foods business based out of South Africa.
