Kolkata, Oct. 9

Mr Timothy J. Roemer, the US Ambassador to India, will undertake a two-day visit to the city beginning October 13, according to a press release issued by the American Centre here. This will be Mr Roemer’s first visit to the city after he assumed charge in August as the 21st US Ambassador to India. During his stay, he will meet the West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, and address representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce. He will also visi t the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore at Jorasanko and address a press conference.
