Crop loss: Sunflower crop damaged at a village in the flood-hit Surpur taluk of Karnataka's Gulbarga district. A 405 per cent excess rainfall in north interior Karnataka has led to heavy loss in crops such as sunflower, rice, maize, sugarcane and onion.
