Mangalore, Oct. 7

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has donated Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (calamities) of the Karnataka Government to help the flood victims in the State. A company release said here that the cheque for Rs 50 lakh was handed over to Mr V. Ponnuraj, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, in Mangalore on Tuesday. This amount is besides the one-day salary being voluntarily donated by the 1,400 employees of MRPL, the release a dded.
