The Shimoga-based Kuvempu University has conferred `Dr Sir M. Visvesvaraya National Parisara Ratna 2009' award on Mr J.M. Garg, Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank. A bank release said here on Wednesday that Mr D.H. Shankaramurthy, Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Board, presented the award to Mr Garg at the `National Environ Fest 2009' at Shimoga recently. Prof B. S. Sherigara, Vice-Chancellor of Kuvempu University, and Prof Puttaiah, member of the Central Pollution Control Board, were present on the occasion, the release added. - Our Bureau
