Varsity in R&D pact with Pfizer

Sri Ramachandra University has signed an agreement with the multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer for setting up its preferred research centre, according to a press release from the university. This centre will jointly offer training programmes in clinical research on protocol writing, advanced good clinical practices and all about clinical trials. This will enable the university to strengthen clinical trial division by developing standard operating procedures, training and accreditation. Pfizer would provide Rs 35 lakh as grant for carrying out these activities in addition to providing training materials and resource persons for the programmes.
