In an attempt to promote Australia as an educational destination, Mr Brumby said that the Australian Government is committed to the safety of international students in Australia.

He said that the Government has taken a number of initiatives to promote security of international students such as opening 24-hour student care centres and strengthening laws against racially motivated crimes.
