GE Oil & Gas has appointed Mr Vivek Venkatachalam as Country Leader for India. In a statement issued here the company said, "In his new role, he will lead GE Oil & Gas' efforts to drive commercial growth in the region and expand GE's presence in the global turbo machinery market, a vital segment for the company's continued business success." GE Oil & Gas is into supplying turbo machinery equipment for oil and gas applications, including gas turbines and compressors.
