Unified service providers body elects new chief

New Delhi, Sept 24 Mr Madhav J. Joshi, President, Legal & Regulatory, Tata Teleservices, has been unanimously elected the new President of the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) following its annual general meeting held on Thursday.

Mr Joshi takes over from Mr B.B. Anand, President, Reliance Communications.

“For AUSPI, the previous year has been the most challenging and rewarding period. During this period, our members launched GSM services as dual technology and the mobile sector has reached new heights with AUSPI member service providers adding more than 5 million subscribers in a month and the total number of subscribers set to cross 500 million mark this month,” said a press release.
