Britannia launches milk brands

Kochi, Sept. 24

Britannia Industries Ltd has entered the UHT milk category with the launch of two new milk variants – Regular and Slimz – in the Kerala market. The Regular variety is priced at Rs 38 a litre and Slimz, the zero-fat, zero-cholesterol variant, at Rs 40. Britannia Milk is cow’s milk and is an ultra-high temperature treated (UHT) product, which removes all forms of bacteria. The milk is packed in convenient Tetra packs which have a shelf life of four months. The milk does not need to be boiled as in the case of other pouch milk brands available in the market. Mr Vinod Menon, Head, Dairy Business, said Britannia Milk will be available across modern and general trade in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kerala initially.
