Tiruchi, Sept. 20 Speed, imagination and excellence in execution are musts for future managers, the HR Consultant, Cethar Vessels Ltd, Mr A. Srihari, told the students of the Jamal Institute of Management (JIM) at a function organised by BL Club.

A positive mind-frame, attitude for high performance, efficiency, effectiveness, and higher emphasis on perfection in job rather than salary were the attributes required of future managers to overcome economic recession, Mr Srihari said, while explaining the nuances of management functions such as planning, organising, controlling and leading.

Successful completion of a task warrants focussed efforts and energy, he said.

The Principal of Jamal Mohamed College and Director of the Institute, Mr M. Sheik Mohamed, presided The Member in-charge of JIM, Mr Bejoy John Thomas and the student Chairman, Mr Ubaidullah, offered felicitations.

The Regional General Manager of The Hindu, Tiruchi, R. Srinivasan, made a video presentation of the management concepts .

The event also marked the inauguration of the 10th batch of MBA programme.

K. Jafar Ali, Corporate Trainer and HR Consultant, Centre for Human Renaissance, Chennai, inaugurated the student management senate.

He focussed on constant upgradation of self and working towards a goal. He advised the students to be open-minded to make learning effective.
