Free Software Day tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 17

The IT@School programme of the State Government will organise various activities to commemorate the international Free Software Day on September 19. ‘ViCTERS’, the education channel, will air special programmes for seven-and-a-half hours during the day, according to Mr Anwar Sadath K., Executive Director, IT@School. The founder of the Free Software Movement, Mr Richard Stallman, will be featured in a special programme at 6.30 a.m. This will be followed up by a programme to introduce packages for Maths, chemistry and physics lessons.
