Insurance staff stage protest

Kochi, Sept. 16

Unions and associations of the public sector general insurance companies observed an all-India protest day on Tuesday to demonstrate against delays in convening wage talks, aberrations in promotion policies, compulsory transfer of employees (transfer mobility policy) and against the introduction of performance-linked incentive schemes (PLIS) and check off exercise without discussions. Protest demonstrations were held at regional centres of the four public sector general in surance companies by class-I officers and class-II, III and IV staff.
