Getting ready: With Eid-ul-Fitr just a few days away, vermicelli-making is at its peak with workers busy packaging machine-made strands of vermicelli at a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad. Nearly five tonnes of vermicelli is manufactured in the twin cities and sent to various districts of the State. According to traders, machine vermicelli has become cheaper at Rs 35 a kg compared to the hand-made one, which is more expensive at Rs 100 a kg.
