Panel to look into issues affecting pilots

Shubhra Tandon

Mumbai, Sept. 13

Jet Airways operations finally started limping back to normalcy from Sunday afternoon after the five-day-long impasse between the management and pilots was “amicably” resolved. While Jet said its international operations would be back on its feet on Sunday itself, domestic operations could take till Tuesday afternoon to gain normalcy.

The four pilots who were sacked since the formation of the National Aviators’ Guild (NAG) last month were reinstated by the management. However, the fate of the NAG is still uncertain.

It has now been decided to form a consultative body where the management’s side will comprise two directors and the CEO while five members will represent the pilots. This body will look into all existing issues affecting the pilots as well as anything that could crop up in the future.
