Events National Management Convention to focus on ‘creating value’ ..key takeaways will be industry insights, best practices, case studies and tools on creating, measuring and sustaining value for all stakeholders. Our Bureau Chennai, Sept. 12 The 36th edition of the National Management Convention, to be held here on September 18-19, will focus on ‘Creating Lasting Value’. Organised by the All India Management Association (AIMA), the convention is expected to discuss and deliberate on various management issues, besides exploring external and internal factors that impact an organisation. According to Mr Srinivasan K. Swamy, President of AIMA and Chairman of R.K. Swamy BBDO, the conference will have six sessions — customer leadership, cost competitiveness, people power, leading through innovation, creating winning organisations of tomorrow, challenges for India Inc. According to him, the key takeaways of the convention will be industry insights, best practices, case studies and tools on creating, measuring and sustaining value for all stakeholders. It will also help practicing managers to identify ways to proactively foresee changes in external factors, while enhancing internal capabilities to align with changing environment. Eminent personalities from various fields would address the meet. The list includes Mr Nitin Paranjpe, CEO and Managing Director (MD) of Hindustan Unilever Ltd; Ms Vinita Bali, MD of Britannia Industries; Mr S.K. Roongta, Chairman of Steel Authority of India; Mr R. Seshasayee, MD of Ashok Leyland; Mr Puneet Dalmia; MD of Dalmia Cement; Mr Sanjiv Goenka, Vice-Chairman of RPG Enterprises; and Mr Sajjan Jindal, MD of JSW Steel. The Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Mr Kapil Sibal, would deliver the inaugural address. AIMA expects over 800 delegates to attend the two-day conference.
