Automatic paddy raiser: Officials of the Puducherry Government explaining the features of an automatic paddy raising machine at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The machine, costing Rs. 2 lakh, can plant paddy on six acres within an hour. It can automatically process seeds and deposit them in trays before planting.
