The Hindu Business Line : UPASI annual meet on September 15

Coimbatore, Sept 4 The 116th annual conference of the United Planters’ Association of Southern India (Upasi) is scheduled to be held at Coonoor, on September 15.

The Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Mr Mallikarjun Kharge, will inaugurate the conference and Mr Aditya Khaitan, Chairman, Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), will be the guest of honour.

COMMODITIES SESSION

The conference would be preceded by a session on commodities and a technical session with a presentation on energy conservation and sustainable agriculture on September 14, the UPASI President, Mr D.P. Maheshwari, said.
