EIH signs pact with DIAL for in-flight catering facility

New Delhi, Aug. 25 Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has signed a 25-year concession agreement with EIH to finance, design, develop, construct, operate, manage and maintain in-flight catering facilities and services at the airport here. DIAL is the new private sector led joint venture consortium which is managing Delhi airport.

The airport operator has also signed 25 years agreement with Turkish firm, Celebi Hava Servisi As, to upgrade, modernise, finance operate, maintain and manage the existing cargo terminal.

Capacity

In a statement, DIAL has said that the new in-flight catering facility to be built by EIH will be designed by the Singapore-based Flight Catering facility planner ‘I+O Industry Planning and Organisation Pte Ltd’. The initial capacity of the facility will be 30,000 meals daily which will be scaled up to 40,000 meals daily in 2015 to meet the future demands.
