Nokia CEO meets PM

New Delhi, Aug. 25

Mr Olli Pekka Kallasvuo, President and CEO, Nokia Corporation, met the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, as part of the company’s continued focus on India. Mr. Kallasvuo’s meetings with Dr Singh focused on government policies and the steps taken by the company in the Indian market to ensure affordable connectivity for millions of Indians. The Nokia chief also discussed the need for re-energising the telecom industry, which has a direct bearing on socio-economi c growth. The talks also touched upon how Nokia could participate in increasing telecom presence to enhance mobile penetration in India.
