Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 20

The Kerala Government intends to set up a water research institute, the Minister for Water Resources, Mr N.K. Premachandran, said here on Wednesday. He was speaking after inaugurating the Kerala Environment Congress 2009, organised by the Centre for Environment and Development here. The proposed institute would offer courses in water resource management and provide facilities for research. It would seek to supplement the activities of the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) at Kozhikode. - Our Bureau
