Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 20

The Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) is organising a State-level workshop here on Thursday and Friday. Titled ‘Leading change in the irrigation sector,’ the workshop seeks to develop a suitable strategy to initiate change in the irrigation sector. The Minister for Water Resources, Mr N.K. Premachandran, will inaugurate the programme at a function to be held at the Sastra Bhavan on Thursday. Mr E.P. Yesodharan, Principal Secretary, S cience and Technology Department, will preside and Mr C.S. Jha, Commissioner, Command Area Development, Government of India, will deliver the keynote address. Mr K. Jayakumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, will deliver the valedictory address.
